CBT for Therapists
It’s one of those truths we don’t talk about enough: Being a therapist doesn’t mean we’re immune to life’s challenges. We spend our days supporting others, helping them navigate their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, but that doesn’t mean we don’t sometimes feel stuck ourselves.

Reaching out for our own support can feel complicated. We know the tools, we know the theory, and yet when we need a bit of help, it can be surprisingly hard to ask for it. The roles blur. We might think, “I should be able to handle this myself,” or “What does it mean if I need help too?”

But needing support is human, not a sign that you’re failing. Therapists are people first. And just like anyone else, we benefit from having a safe, non-judgmental space to work things through. A place to offload, get unstuck, or just be on the receiving end of the same care we give to others.
CBT for therapists is a chance to step out of the provider role for a moment and just be.
It’s normal, it’s healthy, and it’s okay to ask for that support.
